  • McLean County Center for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a full time Residential Specialist for our Supervised Rooming House.   This position provides residential services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness.  This position includes an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, generous paid time off benefits, and more.

    Work Hours:
    Tuesday 12am – 9am
    Wednesday 12am – 9:30am
    Thursday 12am – 9am; 11pm – 12am (Friday)

    Qualifications:
    Must be at least 21 years of age;
    Must be a high school graduate or have a GED certificate;
    Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred;

    Responsibilities:
    Provide individual and group services to support and assist eight adults with behavioral health needs;
    Provide life skills training and medication supervision;

    The Recovery Program consists of three components including case management, residential, and psychosocial rehabilitation group services.  Our agency delivers Psychiatric, Counseling, and Emergency Crisis Intervention services, in addition to the Recovery Program.

    Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field;
    Credentialed as a MHP (Mental Health Professional) in the State of Illinois required;

    Job Duties:

    Complete screenings to determine client eligibility for services;
    Complete comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for clients receiving psychiatric services;
    Provide counseling and case management services for clients receiving psychiatric services;
    Provide mental health education, skills development and rehabilitative services via groups;
    Services will be provided in a variety of settings, including office, community, and homes.

    Our agency delivers Outpatient Counseling services, Recovery services, and Emergency Crisis Intervention services, in addition to the Medical Services Program.

  • Excellent opportunity for Mental Health Professionals who are seeking a supplemental second income or require flexible scheduling.  

    • Motivated clinician needed to fill in shifts as needed due to vacations, sick leave, holidays, etc. Shifts include weekends, weekdays 4p to 12a, and weekdays 12a to 8a.
    • This paid, on-call, per diem position is responsible for providing supportive, emergency behavioral health crisis interventions in secure settings.  Most calls take place in hospital emergency departments in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree with 1-year direct mental health experience required.  Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred.  Experience in psychiatric pre-admission screening and referral preferred.

    Must reside within 20 minutes of Bloomington/Normal, Illinois.

  • This position will substitute for regular residential staff that are on sick, vacation, or holiday leave.  Shifts are evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.  Paid training is provided. Regular rate of pay is $11-$13 per hour.  Holiday rate of pay is $20 per hour.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide supportive counseling and assistance to eight adults with behavioral health needs;
    Provide life skill training and medication supervision;
    Provide written documentation of services performed;
    Complete light housekeeping duties.

    High school diploma or GED required;
