  • McLean County Center for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Specialist.  This salaried position includes an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, generous paid time off benefits, and more.

    Responsibilities:
    Enter and update fund sources in client eligibility records;
    Submit billings to funding sources;
    Process payments and denials received from funding sources;
    Prepare aged receivable reports and follow-up with funding sources;
    Coordinate activity with collection agency in regard to delinquent accounts;
    Complete monthly bank reconciliations on representative payee accounts;
    Provide training and support to other staff in regard to accounts receivable functions.

    Qualifications:
    High School Degree;
    Experience with electronic medical billing;
    Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party insurance providers;
    Experience with State of Illinois Medicaid Program preferred;
    Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word;

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field required;
    Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred;
    One year of experience in community behavioral health and/or crisis intervention;
    Experience completing psychiatric pre-admission hospital screenings preferred;
    Excellent organizational and communication skills;
    Must reside within 20 minutes of Advocate Bromenn Hospital, Normal, IL;
    Must have reliable transportation and valid Illinois driver’s license.

    Responsibilities:

    Opportunity to work the majority of time out of the home;
    May require some weekend and overnight hours:
    Provide supportive, emergency behavioral health crisis intervention services in the community and hospital emergency departments within McLean County;
    Complete psychiatric pre-admission hospital screenings;
    Develop close working relationships with therapists, physicians, and law enforcement personnel.

    Our agency delivers Psychiatric, Counseling, and Recovery Services in addition to the Emergency Crisis Intervention Program.

  • This position will substitute for regular residential staff that are on sick, vacation, or holiday leave.  Shifts are evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.  Paid training is provided. Regular rate of pay is $11-$13 per hour.  Holiday rate of pay is $20 per hour.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide supportive counseling and assistance to eight adults with behavioral health needs;
    Provide life skill training and medication supervision;
    Provide written documentation of services performed;
    Complete light housekeeping duties.
    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or GED required;
    Experience working with special needs population preferred;
    Excellent organizational and communication skills;
    Patience, flexibility, and reliability are important traits;
    Must have reliable transportation and valid Illinois driver’s license.
