Operating under the mission to provide high-quality, recovery-oriented, community-based behavioral health services their goal is to bring hope to individuals struggling with their mental well-being, empowering them to build happy, healthy lives.
Loneliness is caused not by being alone, but by being without the types of relationships that bring affection and connection. Loneliness isn’t the same as being alone. You can feel alone in a room full of people if the connection to those people is not significant enough.
In May the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy released an advisory calling attention to the public health crisis of loneliness, isolation, and lack of connection in our country.
All of us, at one point or another, have experienced poor mental health or mental well-being. Having poor mental well-being doesn’t mean we have a mental illness.
