Behavioral Health Urgent Care

The Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) at The Center for Human Services is available free of charge to individuals 18 and older experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The BHUC provides an alternative to emergency departments when appropriate.

BHUC services include crisis screening, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, linkage to resources, and peer support.

We are located at 520 N. Center St., in Bloomington IL, in our Tower Center just a half block north of our main location on W. Market St.

Our current hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.; Saturday 5:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.; Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

The BHUC does not have any medical personnel on staff nor do we administer/distribute any medication to clients at BHUC. Higher-risk clients may be referred to mobile crisis/ER for assessment.
