Since 1927 The Center has worked in tandem with the community to create services that most meet the needs of county residents. Operating under the mission to provide high-quality, recovery-oriented, community-based behavioral health services their goal is to bring hope to individuals struggling with their mental well-being, empowering them to build happy, healthy lives.
Josh Wheeler, recovery program manager at the Center for Human Services (CHS) in Bloomington, said CHS would be mainly looking to educate people at a time like this.
ISU will be contracting mental health professionals from the Center for Human Services (CHS), which runs the Behavioral Health Urgent Care facility in downtown Bloomington.
BHUC services include crisis screening, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, linkage to resources, and peer support.
