The CENTER for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a Crisis Engagement Specialist (Full-Time).

Responsibilities:

• Provide behavioral health crisis intervention services at locations throughout McLean County including hospital emergency departments
• Provide crisis support for those at imminent risk of suicide or those in need of emotional support
• Provide referrals for behavioral health and other needed services
• Provide follow-up care within the required time limits
• Develop collaborative working relationships with behavioral health professionals, social service providers, and law enforcement personnel

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Self-identification as a person in recovery from mental illness or substance use who is committed to their own recovery in order to help others through their recovery journey

• Willingness and ability to engage in self-disclosure to assist in treatment
• Passion to help others with their recovery
• Excellent organizational and communication skills 
• Illinois driver’s license with full coverage auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) designation with the State of Illinois
• One year of work or volunteer experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention

Salary Range: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
